Description

This is a garden for all seasons, meticulously designed and inspired by a Japanese and Balinese aesthetic.

In winter the architecture of the garden is clear to see, revealing pruning secrets, structural nodes and path layout, while new fences are woven from autumn cuttings. In the workshop summer seeds have been cleaned, and dried tea herbs assembled for sale.
The garden’s vegetables and herbs will be turned into delicious food in the wood fired oven.
There are 21 fruit and nut trees including cherry guava, goji berry and macadamia; winter honeysuckle woven to create a highly perfumed wall; even the gravel is carefully chosen – a mix of grey local dolomite and cottage garden gravel.
The garden includes imaginative recycling and creative use of found and inexpensive objects, with a bold palette of colours both in the flowers and structural elements.

Evette will give talks at 11am and 2pm on her design and planting concepts, focusing on how detailed planning can produce year round interest on a small block.

630 sqm, 0.15 acres
