Frosty Flats is bright and beautiful!
It is a true cottage garden full of flowers in all colours and a mass of foliage textures. The garden wraps itself around as you wander along the web of little paths that wind between beds crammed with plants. There is a vast assortment of roses, perennials, sedums, geraniums, cannas and succulents. Trees, mostly flowering varieties, provide shelter and height.
There is more than plants in this garden; a pond, birdbaths, arbours, other structures support climbing roses and clematis. Pots of succulents are dotted throughout, logs are placed as seats, rustic garden art and several old ladders are used to hold more pots.
Rusty machinery once used to run the adjacent farm rests amongst the foliage and flowers.
The original garden surrounded the old 1880s stone farm house but recently it has been expanded and again informal paths are a feature. The beds between are richly planted, particularly with bulbs and roses selected for their vivid flower.

Size: 0.75 acres; 0.3 ha.
The nominated charity for this garden is: Cancer Council ‘Ride for a Reason’.
